Hello animal care and training enthusiasts!

Spring is an important time of year when we welcome newcomers to the PACTA BC Board of Directors, and give a heartfelt thanks to those who have contributed their time and expertise over the years.

In preparation for our annual general meeting held earlier this month, we announced three board vacancies:

1. Secretary – keep an eye on email and organize our digital history

2. Treasurer – keep the books and guide the decisions around expenses

3. Director at Large – the perfect role for dipping in when you feel inspired

Having received no nominations for these positions prior or during the AGM, we now open up the invitation to all members to submit an expression of interest to join the Board of Directors, or encourage a colleague who you think would shine in one of these roles. During this phase the Board can appoint individuals to specific positions rather than undergo a voting process.

We are a fun bunch and welcome new ideas and helping hands to advance our efforts to ensure the best possible care and training for companion animals in British Columbia. Participation in this work is a terrific way to expand your network and give back to the community.

We hope you will consider joining the Board of Directors. We communicate primarily via group email and meet via Zoom once per month. It’s fully expected you won’t be able to participate in all meetings.

If you’re interested in volunteering in other ways, or have suggestions for PACTA activities, we would love to hear from you about that as well!

Contact [email protected] to express interest or request contact details for any board member.
