Do you have a plan for your pets in case of a natural disaster? Join the free discussion to help create that plan!

May 5 -11 is National Emergency Preparedness Week in Canada.

How can we prepare for emergencies, both in our homes, and for natural disasters like forest fires, earthquakes, snowstorms and floods? From what kinds of things to have in your first aid kit, to whom to contact if you and your pets need to evacuate, to how to get involved to help other people's companion animals in case of a natural disaster, PACTA Professional Members Vicki McDonald and Robyn Andexser will share their knowledge and experiences. Robyn teaches Dogsafe canine first aid and has lots of great pointers for how to be ready for the unexpected. Vicki has extensive volunteer experience, including in the US after Hurricane Katrina, and helping communities set up Emergency Social Services to include people's pets. There will be time to ask them questions, as well!

We want everyone to be ready should they need to evacuate or shelter in place.
